Sometimes we need a good reminder that it pays to set aside first impressions and preconceived notions.
In Oregon 17 years ago, Jim Daggett knocked on the door of a kit airplane company (the one that provided the materials for the airplane I built) looking for a job. The only job available involved saws and power tools. But Daggett was completely blind.
The company hired him anyway.
Daggett retired yesterday.
